Ms. Phelps brings more than 12 years of experience supporting nonprofits in the Santa Barbara area. She has played an integral part in securing gifts through direct mail, major gift requests, special events and planned gifts for the American Red Cross, Devereux and the Music Academy of the West. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and served as President of the Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter for two years. Ms. Phelps graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Behavioral Sciences in Management. Bonnie arrived at Cogswell in September 2005.

“I look forward to expanding outreach activities to our alumni and ensuring that they have a forum for staying involved with Cogswell. Education makes such a difference in our lives and it is wonderful to have the chance to give back.” In her spare time Bonnie loves to read, cook, knit, walk or travel.
