Silicon Valley's 'Best Kept Secret' Prepares Digital Art Students to Enter In-Demand Animation, Gaming, Audio and Engineering Career Fields

SUNNYVALE, CA - February 21, 2010 - Cogswell College, one of the world's leading regionally-accredited institutions offering a unique curriculum that fuses digital arts, engineering and entrepreneurship, is holding an Open House on March 10, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at its Sunnyvale campus. Cogswell alumni credentials include the world's best-selling video game, Call of Duty and blockbuster films including Toy Story, Harry Potter and Thor. Student created films have garnered scores of national awards including best animation at the Miami Film Festival, Route 66 Film Festival and Philadelphia Film and Animation Festival, the Audience Choice Award at the San Jose Short Film Festival and the Children's Jury Award at the Encounters Film Festival in the UK. By combining entrepreneurship with the advanced managerial skills that are essential in the hyper-competitive fields of 3D animation, game design, 3D modeling, digital audio production and entertainment design-Cogswell graduates are ready to become leaders, problem solvers and creative thinkers-or to start out on their own studios.

Cogswell College offers an intimate and stimulating academic environment that enables its students to earn a BA degree in Digital Art and Animation or Entrepreneurship and Innovation or a BS degree in Digital Audio Technology, Digital Arts Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. The Open House will provide an opportunity to tour the campus, watch student created award-winning short animations, meet Cogswell faculty, talk to an admissions representative and get answers to financial aid questions.
