Jun Aida

Jun Aida currently serves as Executive Advisor for Crimson Group. Crimson Group is a private company of Hiroshi Mikitani, the founder and CEO of Japan’s Rakuten Inc., the largest ecommerce company in Asia. Mr. Aida is also a Board member of Japan’s major league soccer team, Vissel Kobe. He began his career in the aircraft manufacturing sector but decided to follow his passion for the film and video game industries instead. In 1993 he joined Capcom USA, Inc, as Director of Entertainment and Licensing. During his career, Mr. Aida produced the live action feature film Street Fighter (1994), the animated CG feature films Final Fantasy – The Spirits Within (2001), Final Flight of the Osiris (2003) and Thru the Moebius Strip (2005) and the animated TV series Mega Man (1994) and Street Fighter (1995). He also supervised the production of the interactive games Parasite Eve 2 (1999) and Final Fantasy IX (2000) as President of Square USA’s Honolulu studio. Mr. Aida graduated from Northrop University with a BS in Engineering Technology in 1984.
