Bill Turpin is Founder and CEO of The Multiverse Network, Inc, a leading 3D virtual world platform company. Mr. Turpin is a serial entrepreneur who has founded several successful high tech companies in emerging markets, including Windows, the Internet, and 3D virtual worlds. While he was VP of Engineering at Netscape Communications, from 1995 to 1999, his team developed some of the core technologies that fueled the commercialization of the Internet, including JavaScript and RSS. In 1988, Mr. Turpin founded a startup to create development tools for Windows. In a period of text-based DOS applications, his company developed one of the first graphical database applications. Borland International acquired his product in 1990 and released it as its first Windows product, named ObjectVision. Later, he became Vice President of Engineering for the dBASE product line and the Borland Database Engine. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Turpin spent ten years at Texas Instruments. During this time, he was General Manager of an artificial intelligence software business and a system engineer for new computer systems, including the world's first LCD-based laptop PC. Mr. Turpin has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Texas.
