Dr. Chester Haskell

President

Dr. Chester D. Haskell came to Cogswell College as its President in May 2004 with extensive experience as an academic administrator and leader in higher education. Most recently, he was President of the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, an acclaimed institution for students seeking professional careers in a global context. Prior to that, Dr. Haskell served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professional Studies at Simmons College in Boston. From 1982 to 1995, he held various positions at Harvard University, including Executive Director of the Center for International Affairs and Associate Dean at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Dr. Haskell holds D.P.A. and M.P.A. degrees from the University of Southern California, an M.A. degree from the University of Virginia, and an A.B. from Harvard University.
