Although born in the United States Dr. Kathy Williams grew up overseas, in Italy and England. She later spent many years in Germany, Puerto Rico, Japan and Panama. This international background has given her a profound interest in world history and culture. Educated at Wellesley College, Columbia University and CUNY, Kathy has written books and articles on the history of naval technology, her special field. She comes to us from the City University of New York where in addition to teaching history she helped initiate the General Education program at Bronx Community College.
