Students are housed in two or three bedroom/two bath apartments at Avalon at Parkside in Sunnyvale. Avalon is located three miles from the Cogswell campus. There is a bus route with stops 2 blocks from the complex and stops approximately 1 block from campus. The apartments have private balconies, full-sized kitchens, permit parking, and washers and dryers in each apartment. There is also a fitness room, swimming pool and spa. Housing fees for 2008/2009 are $3950 per term for a single bedroom in a shared apartment. This is due at registration. The package consists of rent for the term, furniture (twin bed, dresser, desk, sofa and chair, dining table with chairs, and lamps); electric (up to $ 100 per month); water (up to $30 per month); and an RA program (peer mentoring, free student activities, etc.). Students are responsible for making their own phone, cable and internet arrangements.

Students interested in reducing their Housing fees may request a shared bedroom in an apartment for $3500 per term and should check the appropriate box on the Housing Application. Doubles will be granted on a first come first served basis as space allows.

A $300 cleaning deposit is required for all housing students and must be sent in full with the housing application in order to reserve a space. The Deadline for Fall 2008 is July 1. This cleaning deposit is good for as long as the student remains in Housing, and will be used toward regular cleaning and any damages to their apartment at the end of each term.

To be eligible for student housing, Cogswell students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits in the Fall and Spring terms and enrolled in at least 6 credits in the Summer term. Students must also maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
