Welcome to the Office of Admissions!
We are so glad to meet you! Our staff is available to chat if you have any questions or would like to take a tour of the campus. They can also arrange for you to sit in on classes, or visit with a professor.
Application Procedures
Applicants for admission must submit the following to the Admissions Office:
- A completed application form
- A non-refundable $55 application fee
- A typed essay from the applicant which described his/her reason for applying to Cogswell
- A completed recommendation form
- An official high school transcript; or an official report of scores earned on the General Education Development (GED) test
- A portfolio of artwork (DAA and DAT only.)

You will be notified when we have received your complete application. The application evaluation process takes no more than two weeks from the day that the completed application is received in the office. If additional information is necessary, one of our Admissions Counselors will contact you.

Housing for our Out-of-Town Students
The Office of Student Life provides temporary student housing for Cogswell students who live in excess of 75 miles from campus.
Student Housing is available for one year, while you become familiar with the area and can find a place on your own. Student Life can also help you in your search with apartment referrals and roommate connections.
